I’m Victoria – an LDS wife, mother, teacher, and writer. So much has gone off track since I started this blog that I hesitate to say what exactly I’m here to write about. Here is what I know for sure:
I am wife to a nursing student/fisherman, and mom of two amazing children, 3 and 4 years old. We are an outdoor family, and we escape to the lake or ocean every chance we get!
I teach preschool to a lovely mixed age group of children ages 2.9 – 5, including my own kids. I LOVE my time spent teaching them and playing with them. Helping them grow and learn is truly a labor of love. Some of my best reflections come from experiences with the kids.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This is such a part of me that its safe to say it will surface in what I write, especially as I explore and ponder my Sunday school lessons. I teach the valient 8 year olds and this year we’re studying church history in the Doctrine and Covenants. I’m learning more than I ever have!
I have a bazillion hobbies that I get around to every now and then. Among them are reading, writing, sewing, hiking, dancing, and learning new things (because why not add to my hobby list?)
I have big dreams for the future including self-employment and opening a school. It wasn’t in the cards for this year as I’d hoped, but this gives me the opportunity now to learn, dream big, and prepare. That might pop up in the blog every now and then too.
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’ll be sharing my thoughts, reflections, and experiences as they come. Hopefully my reflections will be helpful to someone else out there.
